On Tuesday, March 17, Elevate Indianapolis—alongside Shepherd and Dream Alive—will host a Trades & Career Pathways Fair for high school students from George Washington HS, Arsenal Tech HS, Shortridge HS, and Purdue Polytechnic HS (Englewood). This Fair invites businesses and skilled trade organizations to introduce students to livable-wage, skill-based career pathways that do not rely solely on a traditional four-year college route. Many students are exploring workforce entry, certifications, apprenticeships, and technical training, and your organization plays a vital role in making those pathways visible and attainable. Participating partners may engage students by: Accepting applicationsConducting informal or formal interviewsRegistering students for apprenticeship or certification programsHiring students on-the-spot, when possiblePartners are also encouraged to deepen student exposure through a job shadow or facility visit during the same week.
