It’s hard to believe that we’re wrapping up another summer of memories and mentorship with our Elevate students.
As we look ahead to another school year together, we look forward to continuing our 10+ year mission in the city of Indianapolis.
Though we begin a new decade of programming, our mission remains the same: to build long-term, life-changing relationships that equip students to thrive. By investing early and consistently in our city's under-supported young people, we aim to bridge gaps and empower them to achieve upward economic mobility.
As our programs continue to grow, our missional focus never wavers. From elementary school, through high school graduation, and even into their postsecondary pursuits, our Teacher-Mentors provide students with consistent, holistic support, reminding them that they never have to face life's challenges alone.

How long have you been part of the Elevate family?
9 months
What part of your role as a Teacher-Mentor resonates with you the most? In other words, what is your "why?"
The relationships are my favorite part of being a Teacher-Mentor. I love getting to know the students, earning their trust, and being someone they know they can come to for support.
What are you looking forward to in the new school year?
I'm excited to create engaging lessons, support student growth, and continue building a positive classroom culture where every student feels welcomed, supported, and challenged to succeed.
Do you have a favorite memory from Elevate you'd like to share?
I would say my favorite memory was when we took the students bowling on my birthday and they all sang "Happy Birthday" when we got back on the bus. A memory that makes my heart warm every time I remember it.
