Elevate Indianapolis selected to receive Indiana’s Career Coaching Grant to transform Indianapolis students' lives

Indianapolis, Ind. – Elevate Indianapolis has, for a second time, been named a recipient of the Indiana Department of Education (IDOE) Career Coaching Grant to support continued youth workforce development and college & career mentoring with hundreds of Indianapolis high school students in underserved communities.
"Indiana’s Career Coaching Grant reflects our commitment to helping students explore future career options and consider what makes the most sense for their future after high school graduation,” said Governor Mike Braun in his press release on Wednesday, January 21st. "This investment empowers students to grow their skills and talents, fill the gap in high-demand, good-paying jobs, and step into a future where they can thrive and our state can prosper.”
The funding will support Elevate’s ongoing impact at three Indianapolis Public High Schools and Purdue Poly-Englewood for accredited in-class college and career mentoring with 24-7 support. This funding will strengthen current life-changing mentoring that provides students with the soft skills, character development, life-on-life mentorship, and opportunities with local companies and agencies to reach their full potential. Since 2015, Elevate Indianapolis has served thousands of Indianapolis students with an ongoing 99% graduation rate in the last 6 years.
