Elevate is working with the future of Indiana in mind.

Recently, the Indiana Chamber Foundation shared their updated vision for Indiana’s success. The plan, Indiana Prosperity 2035, outlines 18 key goals for economic acceleration over the next decade.

Luckily, Elevate shares a similar vision.

We were proud to find that three key goals of IP2035 aligned directly with our work in the community. Because as we look ahead to a new decade of Elevate, we are committed to investing in young people to build the future Indiana needs.

A Designated Path for Every Student

IP2035 identifies the goal to “ensure that every student graduates high school with a designated path toward enrollment, employment, or enlistment.”

In Pathways to Purpose, Elevate exposes students to postsecondary possibilities through career exposure, vision trips, college visits, and more. In doing so, we make sure our students have the tools to identify a path for success after high school.

Among our 2026 seniors, 97% completed a Two-Year Post-Secondary Action Plan by December, where they used the career exposure gained in Elevate to identify a clear path for success.

Our Teacher-Mentors also equip students with crucial character and life skills in the classroom so they can confidently overcome the barriers that stand between them and their goals.

It’s no wonder that 92.4% of Elevate students are on track to graduate, compared to 85.2% of economically disadvantaged students — because we strive to ensure that our students have the tools to not only identify their goals, but also take clear steps toward pursuing them.

Building a Talent Pipeline for Indiana

In order to achieve economic prosperity in the next decade, IP2035 aims to “build a talent pipeline to meet workforce needs” by increasing the number of Hoosiers with high-quality credentials.

Elevate believes that every student has the potential and desire to succeed. Last year, Elevate expanded its reach by 60% compared to our 2022-2023 school year, serving 1,500+ students in 2025-2026. Of these, 287 participated in Pathways to Purpose, logging a total of 2,526 hours of career exposure.

Additionally, among our sophomores and juniors, 93% participated in college & career mentoring to begin exploring possibilities for the bright futures they deserve.

With access to certifications, dual credits, employability skills, and more, our students are not only dreaming of a better future — they’re taking steps toward becoming the workforce pipeline Indiana needs.

Prosperity Means Persistence

Finally, IP2035 emphasizes the importance of not only building, but also retaining the talent pipeline for long-term success.

Around here, we like to say it like this: “Once in Elevate, always in Elevate.”

In the last year alone, we supported 198 alumni after graduation with continued mentorship and access to resources to continue striving for success. Thanks to the commitment of our Teacher-Mentors, alumni receive regular check-ins to make sure they stay on track toward their goals — and know that they never have to face life’s challenges alone.

Last year, our Developmental Relationships score from Search Institute rose to 76% of students reporting that they had a strong relationship with their Teacher-Mentor. This was up from 73.66% previously, with only 3% reporting a weak relationship.

These relationships are the key to building a stronger Indiana, because, as we say, no one gets there alone. Thanks to the guidance and mentorship of our Teacher-Mentors, as well as our community partners, our students not only have the support they need to graduate — they have the tools to navigate what comes next.
