A SUMMER SPENT CULTIVATING LIFE-CHANGING LEGACIES
As the days shorten and the summer sun starts to decrease, I am celebrating a great summer of impact with our Elevate students and mission! While we’re already a couple of weeks into the new school year, and eager about “10th Year of Long-term Life-Changing Legacies!”
Our staff got some much-needed rest this summer, as well as significant training with our Elevate USA affiliates and locally here, including a full day of training from the Search Institute and Coaches Across America in July.
In June alone, a total of 293 6th-12th-grade students from 19 different schools were served in our June collaboration with Dream Alive, Shepherd Community, Camptown, St. Joseph’s College, Bonor Center/IEPN, and others! A pipeline of impact totaling 143 middle school and 150 high school students served together in June, totaling 7,775 collaboration student impact hours! I am grateful for increased collaboration this summer, which will continue this program year.
As we continue to increase our focus on Elevates’ on our students completing internships and receiving dual-credits, I want to extend an extra thank you to St. Joseph’s College for providing an accredited summer college course for 13 Elevate high school students this summer.
An important Elevate saying is, “No one gets there alone,” and our students and families are stronger when we collaborate.

Personally, I enjoyed a number of opportunities in July to be with many of our Elevate students through our sports and adventure mentoring. A true joy to spend so many hours with our students camping, golfing, basketball, and resting. I was reminded firsthand of what a great investment it is in these students!
