KICKING OFF A NEW YEAR OF LIFE-CHANGING MENTORSHIP
Good morning,
Our Teacher-Mentors walked back into the classroom this week, kicking off our 11th year of in-school programming with our Indianapolis Public Schools partner campuses. This year, that work will reach more than 1,000 students.
This past spring, we had a record number of seniors graduate, which tells you a lot about what happens when a Teacher-Mentor shows up for a student every single day, not just some days.
This week, our team was has been busy getting classrooms ready, finishing up school professional development, and finishing our curriculum prep before students walked back in the door! As the school year kicks off, our Teacher-Mentors work tirelessly to ensure that their students have the tools they need to succeed from day one.

As we prepare for a new year of transformations, our Teacher-Mentors continue to create safe spaces where our students can pursue upward mobility. And, with your support, those spaces are only growing. We are currently expanding our space at the Impact Center on Washington Street, so students have somewhere to go outside of the school day — to study, meet with their Teacher-Mentors, or just have a place that's theirs.

We didn't design it on our own, either. This summer, we held a Student Voice Summit and asked our students directly what they wanted: study space, a place of peace, help with college and career planning, and somewhere they feel seen and known. That's what we're aiming to establish this school year, because it's their space too, when they’re not with our mentors at the schools or in the community.
None of this happens without you, and I mean that. Your support is what lets us keep a Teacher-Mentor in the building every day so these students have a trusted adult to encourage, empower, and advocate for their success.
I'd love for you to come see it in person. We're opening up a site visit in September if you'd like to sit in on a class and meet some of our students. Tap here to reserve your spot.
Thanks for being part of this with us.
Sincerely,
Aaron Story
