LONG-TERM INVESTMENTS FOR LONG-TERM CHANGE

When students first come to Elevate, many of them lack the support resources necessary to thrive. Many come from chaotic or even violent home lives. When asked about their goals for the future, they see obstacles instead of opportunities.

We know that student success stories don't happen overnight - they happen through years of support, accountability, and trust. This is why Elevate is committed to creating long-term, life-changing relationships - so we can walk alongside students as they discover the potential they didn't know they had.

In 2016, 20 Elevate seniors graduated with their cohort. In 2024-2025, we watched with pride as 105 seniors across four high schools did the same, with 530 underclassmen on track to graduate on time.

In the same year, 562 students explored paths to a stable, purposeful future in Pathways To Purpose, resulting in a 242% increase in vision trip participation since 2022.

A lot has changed since our first year, but our commitment to each student's journey has remained the same. From the first day in the Elevate classroom to the first day in a meaningful career, and everywhere in between - our Teacher-Mentors are there to remind students that they are seen, heard, known, and loved.

As we celebrate our tenth year of life-changing legacies, we invite you to walk alongside our students, too. By becoming a monthly donor, you have the opportunity to be a part of changing the trajectory of an under-supported student's life.

Your monthly investment is more than a financial gift - it's a commitment to creating a long-term, life-changing relationship with Elevate. As a recurring donor, you can open doors to the future our students deserve - and cheer for them every step of the way.

Only one month left until our 9th Annual Vision Breakfast!

Want to see what investing in Elevate can achieve? Our Annual Vision Breakfast is an opportunity to connect with Elevate supporters, students, staff, and friends as we celebrate past wins and look ahead to future ones.

Hear from real students about how Elevate has invested in them, and how the long-term relationships they've built have changed the trajectory of their lives. We promise you - their stories are a powerful reminder of why Elevate's mission matters.

Join us on October 30th from 7:30-9:00AM as we celebrate 10 years of life-changing legacies and visualize another 10 years of impact. This event is filling up fast, so don't lose your spot! Tap below to learn more about how you can be part of the transformation by:

DID YOU CATCH OUR NEW PODCAST?

In case you missed it, this month we launched our monthly podcast miniseries, "10 Years of Long-Term, Life-Changing Legacies!"

Each month, we'll sit down with an Elevate alumni and discuss how they first connected with Elevate, where they are today, and the role Elevate played in their unique story. This month, we caught up with Calvin Washington about how important healthy, positive relationships can be to a student's success.

As we always say, "Once in Elevate, Always in Elevate," and we are committed to investing in students like Calvin but long after graduation. Tap here to watch this week's episode, and be sure to catch next month's episode with Te’Niah!

OUR ELEVATE INDY ADVOCATES

We had a full house of incredible guest speakers this month! Thank you to all who helped inspire our students to overcome obstacles and achieve their own personal and professional success.

Darell Rogers talked to our students about how proper financial management can help us sustain long-term wealth. Thank you, Darell, for the GREAT reminder of why we teach financial literacy in Pathways to Purpose - to equip them with the tools they need for long-term success!

Susan Ford from American Senior Communities shared the business side of residential healthcare and the diverse opportunities within companies like hers. Thank you, Susan, for introducing us to the lesser known roles in your field and how we can use our gifts to build a meaningful career!

Thursday, we had two incredible speakers share their wisdom with our class!

After joining us back in April, Lolita Chandler of Guidnar returned to the Elevate classroom to talk about the importance of starting to explore career options early and thinking outside the box. Thank you, Lolita, for your encouragement - our students loved hearing from you!

Lastly, longtime Elevate supporter Tom Marcum spoke to our class about both his career as an author and his experience of growing up without a father. Like many Elevate students, Tom faced unique challenges throughout his journey, and he spoke about how these challenges shaped many of the decisions he made along the way. We appreciate you and your incredible story, Tom!
