INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Elevate Indianapolis has been awarded Faith & Action Grant by Christian Theological Seminary to fund the expansion of our Student Impact Center.
The Faith & Action Grant Program was created in 2015 to fuel holistic solutions to poverty in Indianapolis. Their mission is rooted in the belief that together, we can strengthen our community, expand opportunities, and bring lasting change to our city.
This year, Faith & Action will award $125,000 to seven community-led organizations, each of which works to address a range of challenges, such as:
- Youth Development
- Housing Stability
- Mental Health
- Economic Mobility
- LGBTQ+ Care
“These organizations are demonstrating effective, relational approaches that lead to long-term transformation. We are excited to highlight their best practices because they can be learned from, replicated, and scaled to increase positive outcomes for more youth, individuals, and families across our community and beyond," said Lindsey Nell Rabinowitch, Faith & Action Director.

This award will fund the creation of a third space where Elevate students can gather, thrive, and build meaningful relationships. With this expansion of our Impact Center, we will continue to open doors for our students to pursue upward mobility - starting with a space where they can feel seen, known, heard, and loved.
“Thank you to the Faith & Action board and staff for making a bold selection in supporting our Impact Center expansion,” said Aaron Story, CEO of Elevate Indianapolis. “We’ve listened to our surrounding community of students, and they want this space to hold it all - quiet corners for reading or homework, room for mentoring to dig into real conversations, map out future career goals, and game nights where kids just get to be kids.”
